Inter-racial mentoring

Mentors will gain an understanding of the significance of representation, the principles of anti-racism and the complexities involved in inter-racial mentoring. Mentors will be prepared to provide guidance and assistance to mentees in navigating any encounters with racism.

 

The aims of this module are to:

• Understand why representation matters
• Understand the difference between not being racist and being anti-racist
• Understand the impact of inter-racial mentor relationships.
